Our team providing
flu shots at the Extreme
Home Makeover pep rally in
Indianapolis:

Flu season may only be in
the public's eye a couple
months out of the year,
but at Passport Health we
plan for
it year around. We begin
in early January planning
our vaccine purchase, then
monitor the manufacturing
process from all major
manufacturers. If there
are delays or some other
issue, we know it sooner
than most. As a network of
over 160 offices
nationwide, we work
together to make sure we
have the vaccine we need,
when we need it.
Why is it important to get a flu shot?
- The single best way to prevent the flu is to get a flu shot each and every year.
- Every year in the US more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu complications, with more than 36,000 deaths. This acute, highly contagious respiratory disease can cause fever, chills, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, etc.
- Most healthy children and adults can infect others beginning beginning 1 day before symptoms begin and up to 5 days after becoming sick. That mean you can pass along the flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick.
-
- About two weeks after vaccination antibodies develop that protect against the virus.
- Flu vaccines will not protect against flu like illnesses caused by non-influenza viruses.
- You can not get the flu by being vaccinated as it is not a live vaccine.

Schedule Your Flu Clinic Today!
- Clinics begin in October and run through December each year.
- Dates and times can be flexible to support your needs.
- Clinics are held in hour increments. Less than 30 attendees is a 1 hour clinic; 30-75 attendees are a 2 hour clinic; and 75+ attendees is still a 2 hour clinic, but has multiple nurses. Should you need to have a clinic run longer than 2 hours, or multiple clinics, we will work with you.
- If interested, please call us at 317-844-2990.
Vaccines available include the traditional flu shot, but we also carry Preservative-free (Mercury-free) vaccine, Flu Mist, the nasal spray version of the flu vaccine, and the Pneumonia vaccine. All vaccines are available both in our office and at our on-site clinics. We encourage you to invite family and friends to your clinics, especially children. It is important to realize that in many instances, the children are the carriers of the virus. By protecting them, you can protect all those they come in contact with.
